Welcome to the Ogden Nature Center Volunteer Base! Our mission is to unite people with nature, and create a community dedicated to environmental stewardship. A group of volunteers founded the Ogden Nature Center in 1975, and we proudly continue that volunteer legacy today. We offer volunteer opportunities for all ages and abilities. Volunteers help in all areas of our mission, from helping maintain trails and habitats to growing our connections in the community.

How Do I Become A Volunteer?
All volunteers start by attending an online Volunteer Orientation which will introduce you to the Ogden Nature Center and the many ways you can help. We’ll also find a good fit for your talents, interests, and schedule. Please note that young volunteers must be accompanied by an adult while volunteering on the property.
To complete volunteer orientation online:
- Fill out the Volunteer Application Form
- Review the Volunteer Handbook
- Watch the Volunteer Orientation Video
- Take a short quiz
- After you have completed orientation, you will be sent an invitation to complete a background check. When your background check is clear and paperwork is complete, you will be eligible to volunteer!
