Lora joined the Ogden Nature Center in 2025 as the Strategic Communications and Marketing Manager. She is passionate about environmental stewardship and loves being able to share the Nature Center’s mission through all our marketing efforts. 

A Utah native, Lora grew up exploring the state’s diverse landscapes, which sparked her love for the natural world at a young age. After graduating from Utah Valley University, she knew she wanted to work in an educational nonprofit where she could help connect people to nature. She has since held a variety of roles at nonprofit organizations across Utah, including on the education teams at Red Butte Garden, Loveland Living Planet Aquarium, and Tracy Aviary. Most recently, she served as the Social Media Coordinator at Tracy Aviary, where she developed her photography skills and found new ways to inspire others to care about wildlife and the environment. 

Outside of work, Lora enjoys spending time with her husband and their pets: Eddie, a golden retriever; two cats, Mickey and Minnie; and Darwin, a Ball Python. She’s also an avid birdwatcher and loves visiting areas near the Great Salt Lake to observe the incredible migratory birds that pass through the region.
