The Ogden Nature Center has service opportunities for those needing school or court-ordered hours. Our staff is sometimes scheduled with programming and making sure that the Nature Center is running, so if you need a ton of hours in a short amount of time, we may not be right for you!
*We do NOT accept anyone for community service who has committed any type of felony, violent crimes or crimes against minors, prostitution, any offense against a family or sexual offense or a felony offense of wildlife laws. Any other violations will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
If you would like to complete your community service hours at the Ogden Nature Center, follow the steps below:

Please wait for steps 3-4 until you have confirmed we currently have availability! - You must provide written documentation from the court, probation officer and/or your attorney stating the number of hours required and by what date, as well as the specifics of your offense. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. - Once we get back to you, you can start working on filling out the Volunteer Application Form, Review the Volunteer Handbook, Watch the Volunteer Orientation Video, Take a short quiz
- All volunteers over the age of 18 are required to undergo a background check prior to starting service, which will be sent after you complete the online quiz.
Age Restrictions
School or court-ordered community service individuals under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times while they are completing hours at the Ogden Nature Center. Volunteers 14 or older do not have to be accompanied by a parent or guardian during their shift.
