The CUP HOP is swooping into local coffee shops again this fall! Add a beautiful Great-blue Heron mug to your collection while supporting the Ogden Nature Center!
For a $20 donation, you will receive a collectible Great-blue Heron mug, filled with a specialty coffee, tea, or cocoa at the Ogden coffee shop where you purchase your mug, at the time of purchase only.
In celebration of the Ogden Nature Center’s end-of-year friend & fund drive, proceeds will benefit the Ogden Nature Center's mission: to unite people with nature and create a community dedicated to environmental stewardship.
A Great-blue Heron mug belongs in your set and matches the raven, bluebird, tortoise, squirrel, and ladybug mugs from years past. Cup Hop cups will only be available on the following dates, and at these locations, while supplies last! Each shop will have a limited supply beginning on their starting Monday. And only while supplies last!

Lessons from the Great-blue Heron:
1. It’s fine to be exactly where you are.
Herons stand so still, they often appear to be frozen in place, when really, they’re simply waiting for the opportune moment to catch their next meal. They don’t chase what they need… they wait for it to come to them.
2. You don’t always have to be “doing.”
According to World Birds, herons often appear to those seeking “…healing, calmness, and stillness in their life. The heron is the guide to finding your serenity.”
3. You decide when you show up.
No matter how many times I walk the trail, I never know if I’m going to see the blue heron or not, which is part of what makes spotting it so exciting. The heron decides what it can handle, and if the pond is too crowded, too noisy, or not providing the right conditions for fishing, it simply flies away and tries again elsewhere.
