Abbey Soukup

Abbey is a 2024 graduate from Weber State University with a bachelors in Geography and an emphasis on Environment and Sustainability.

Abbey is from Ogden, Utah and fostered a fondness for the outdoors at an early age. The Ogden Nature Center is a cheerful memory, fueling her love for nature. She has a passion for the outdoors and a strong interest in conservation, sustainability, geography, art, and music. During her time here, Abbey works on various projects related to environmental education and conservation, such as restoring habitats, leading outreach events, developing curriculum, and assisting with camps and field trips. Abbey has participated in various field work and volunteer projects related to conservation, such as field work in Capitol Reef, Rio Mesa, and Dead Horse Point in Moab. Her experience volunteering has included the Ogden River clean up, trail maintenance, Zero Waste at Weber State University, and working at the Ogden Bicycle Collective.

In her spare time, Abbey enjoys hiking, camping, art, and playing with her animals. She is passionate about sharing her love and knowledge of nature with others, and hopes to inspire the next generation of conservationists.
