To Schedule a Program:
We start taking school reservations on August 1st. To make a reservation call 801-621-7595 and ask to speak with someone in the education department. While we are happy to take reservations throughout the year, please note that our busy months (October, November, March, April & May) often fill up first. If you have a specific date/time in mind please call in early August.
Have the following information ready when you call:
- Program topic/month
- School name, address and phone number
- Grade level and the number of students enrolled
- Preferred date and time slot with alterations (in case first choice in not available)
Confirmation letters are sent via email a month prior to your reserved school field trip. You will be required to reply to the email confirmation in order to guarentee your spot. Please read through the attached forms to ensure that the information is correct. We can make changes/alterations to a field trip lesson (including increased number of students and programming topic) a month prior to your visit but we are unable to make changes on the day of your trip. Please make sure that all teachers attending the field trip have read through the information provided in the email confirmation.
The majority of our programs are held outside. Please make sure that students are aware of this and dress properly for the field trip. If severe weather threatens, our staff will be prepared with some alternate indoor activites but students may still be required to go outside.
We do not cancel programs due to weather. We will do our best to help you reschedule your program if you need to cancel due to school closure related to weather.
Cancellation of a Scheduled Program
Please notify the education staff of a cancelation at least 24 hours in advance. This allows us time to notify the staff scheduled to teach that day.
One adult chaperone for every 10 students is allowed to attend free of charge. Additional adults are $3 each. Please remember that we do not allow siblings (not enrolled in the attending class) to follow along on field trips. This includes infants in strollers or carriers. Any chaperone that attends with a sibling will not be allowed to follow along with the school group. They will be required to pay for their admission and then given a map to tour the facility on their own.
